Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare an 8 x 8-inch baking dish by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a food processor, blend the black beans along with 2 tablespoons of water until smooth. Add more water gradually if needed.
  • Add the remaining ingredients (eggs, applesauce, sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt) to the food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing.

Notes

Ensure beans are thoroughly rinsed. For deeper chocolate flavor, consider adding an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder.
