Preparation

  • Start by placing the azúcar in a bowl, then add the 4 huevos. Use a whisk or your hands to mix them together gently until the mixture is relatively smooth.
  • Prepare the chocolate and manteca by melting them together until smooth, creating a rich, glossy mixture.
  • Combine the melted chocolate mixture with the egg and sugar blend. Stir gently until fully incorporated. Add the harina, optional cacao amargo, and pizca de sal.
  • Line your baking pan with aluminum foil for easy removal. Pour in the brownie mixture, spreading it evenly in the pan.
  • Optional: Mix in chopped nueces, grajeas, or galletas into the mixture or sprinkle them on top for extra texture.
  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Bake the brownies for 25 minutes or until they puff slightly and form a crust on top.
  • After baking, cool the brownies in the pan completely. Optionally add Nutella or dulce de leche before slicing.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Sift dry ingredients to avoid lumps. Keep an eye on baking time to prevent overbaking.
