Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and fine salt. Set aside.

Mixing

  • In a larger mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter with the granulated sugar and packed brown sugar until creamy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Follow with vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Scoop 1.5 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9–11 minutes until edges are set and centers look slightly underdone.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use softened butter and consider chilling the dough if it's warm. Avoid overbaking to maintain gooey centers.
