Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 14 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cups packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups quick-cook oats
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Gently stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
  • Press the batter into the prepared baking dish evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for a smoother batter. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
